The welcome Whygon

I made a promise to my kids before each of them were born. I promised to not stay the same version of me whom they met when they came into this world. Something in me must have known.

Hi. Welcome to my blog. My name is Alex Vaughan. I’m transgender. I’m nonbinary. I use they/them pronouns. This is something I say often. It’s important because for a long time I didn’t have any language. Looking back, I am certain, labeling myself was terrifying to others around me. But, I didn’t have a choice. I was the end of the bloodline.

I’m almost 48 years old. On May 22, that will be official. I am a spouse, a partner, a nonbinary they/them wife to the love of my life, Kim. Together we have 4 kids.

Be clear, be confident and don’t overthink it. The beauty of your story is that it’s going to continue to evolve and your site can evolve with it. Your goal should be to make it feel right for right now. Later will take care of itself. It always does.

It all begins with an idea. Maybe you want to launch a business. Maybe you want to turn a hobby into something more. Or maybe you have a creative project to share with the world. Whatever it is, the way you tell your story online can make all the difference.
